The Pain Relief Foundation was established as a registered charity in 1979, in response to the need for specialised research into the causes and treatment of chronic pain in humans. The Foundation carries out research leading to the alleviation of chronic pain and works in co-operation with the NHS and Universities to provide post-graduate scientific education in chronic pain relief.
